Female Support Worker – Early Shifts – Blackrock, Cork

About the Role

We are recruiting experienced and reliable Female Support Workers to join our team supporting individuals in Blackrock, Cork.

This is a hands-on support role focused on providing high-quality, person-centred care and helping individuals maintain their independence, dignity and quality of life.

You will provide practical support with daily activities, personal care where required, emotional support and engagement, while following individual care plans and agreed support procedures.

We are looking for Support Workers who are compassionate, dependable and confident working directly with individuals in a care or support setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred support in line with individual care plans

• Support individuals with their daily routines and activities

• Assist with personal care and activities of daily living where required

• Encourage independence and support individuals to make choices about their daily lives

• Provide emotional and practical support

• Support individuals to participate in activities and community engagement where appropriate

• Assist with meal preparation and other day-to-day household tasks where required

• Support mobility and safe movement in line with the individual's care plan and training

• Observe and report any changes in an individual's health, wellbeing or behaviour

• Maintain accurate and appropriate records

• Follow care plans, risk assessments and safeguarding procedures

• Use appropriate communication and behaviour support approaches

• Follow all relevant health and safety, infection control and organisational procedures

• Work respectfully with individuals, families, colleagues and other professionals

• Report any concerns, incidents or changes in circumstances to the appropriate person

• Maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality at all times

• Complete mandatory and role-specific training as required

Essential Experience & Skills

You must have:

• Minimum 6 months' relevant care or support work experience

• Full QQI Level 5 or FETAC equivalent qualification

• 2 clinical references

• Behaviour Support Training

• Restrictive Practice Training – CPI, MAPA, Safety Intervention, PMVA, TCI or Studio 3

• Experience working directly with individuals in a care, support, healthcare, disability, residential, community or similar setting
