Female Support Worker – Late Shifts – Blackrock, Cork

About the Role

We are recruiting experienced and reliable Female Support Workers for late shifts in Blackrock, Cork.

This role involves providing person-centered care and support to individuals throughout their daily routines, helping them maintain their independence, dignity and wellbeing.

You will work directly with individuals, providing practical, personal and emotional support while following individual care plans, risk assessments and agreed procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide person-centered support in line with individual care plans

• Support individuals with their daily routines

• Assist with personal care and activities of daily living where required

• Encourage independence and choice

• Provide emotional and practical support

• Support individuals with activities and engagement

• Assist with meal preparation and appropriate household tasks

• Support individuals with mobility and safe movement where required and trained

• Observe and report changes in health, wellbeing or behavior

• Follow behavior support strategies and agreed care procedures

• Maintain accurate records and documentation

• Follow safeguarding, health and safety and infection control procedures

• Report incidents, concerns or changes in an individual's circumstances

• Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries

• Work effectively with colleagues and other professionals

• Complete mandatory and role-specific training as required

Essential Experience & Skills

You must have:

• Minimum 6 months' relevant care or support work experience

• Full QQI Level 5 or FETAC equivalent qualification

• 2 clinical references

• Behavior Support Training

• Restrictive Practice Training – CPI, MAPA, Safety Intervention, PMVA, TCI or Studio 3

• Experience working directly with individuals in a care, support, healthcare, disability, residential, community or similar setting
