Female Support Worker – Sleeper Shifts – Blackrock, Cork

About the Role

We are recruiting experienced Female Support Workers for sleeper shifts in Blackrock, Cork.

This role involves providing consistent, person-centred support during an individual's evening and overnight routine. Sleeper shifts involve an overnight stay, with the Support Worker following the agreed care plan and providing support if required during the shift.

You will be responsible for supporting the individual's comfort, safety, routine and wellbeing while maintaining a respectful and professional approach.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred support throughout the evening and overnight routine

• Follow the individual's care plan and agreed support procedures

• Support personal care and activities of daily living where required

• Assist with bedtime routines and preparation for the night

• Promote dignity, independence and choice

• Provide reassurance and emotional support where appropriate

• Monitor the individual's wellbeing and respond appropriately to support needs

• Follow agreed behaviour support strategies

• Respond appropriately if support is required during the sleeper shift

• Report any concerns, incidents or changes in wellbeing

• Maintain accurate records where required

• Follow safeguarding, health and safety and infection control procedures

• Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries

• Work collaboratively with other members of the care team

• Complete mandatory and role-specific training as required

Essential Experience & Skills

You must have:

• Minimum 6 months' relevant care or support work experience

• Full QQI Level 5 or FETAC equivalent qualification

• 2 clinical references

• Behaviour Support Training

• Restrictive Practice Training – CPI, MAPA, Safety Intervention, PMVA, TCI or Studio 3

• Previous experience working directly with individuals in a care or support environment
