Female Healthcare Assistant (HCA) – Late Shifts – Blackrock, Cork

About the Role

We are recruiting experienced Female Healthcare Assistants (HCAs) for late shifts in Blackrock, Cork.

You will provide person-centred care and practical support to individuals during their daily and evening routines, helping to promote their dignity, independence and overall wellbeing.

The successful candidate will be confident providing direct care, following individual care plans and working professionally as part of a wider care team.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality person-centred care

• Assist with personal care and activities of daily living where required

• Support individuals with washing, dressing and toileting

• Assist with mobility and safe movement where required and appropriately trained

• Support individuals with meals and hydration

• Provide emotional and practical support

• Support individuals with their evening routines

• Promote independence and individual choice

• Support appropriate activities and engagement

• Observe and report changes in health, wellbeing or behaviour

• Follow individual care plans and risk assessments

• Maintain accurate care records

• Follow safeguarding, infection control and health and safety procedures

• Report incidents, concerns or changes in an individual's condition

• Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries

• Work effectively with colleagues and other healthcare professionals

• Complete all mandatory and role-specific training required

Essential Experience & Skills

You must have:

• Minimum 6 months' relevant healthcare or care experience

• Full QQI Level 5 or FETAC equivalent qualification

• 2 clinical references

• Behaviour Support Training

• Restrictive Practice Training – CPI, MAPA, Safety Intervention, PMVA, TCI or Studio 3

• Previous experience as a Healthcare Assistant, Care Assistant, Support Worker or in a similar care environment
